| HI!!! I know you all miss me!!! Admit it!!! I miss you guys. Life has been nuts lately, as usual. But if my life were not chaotic, I wouldn't know how to act. Spring break this week and I have had to work most of it. Wanted to take time off to be with the girls but I burnt all my time up when I was sick last month. Now I can't take off until after July 1 when we get more time. SUCKS!! Besides, I got written up 2 weeks ago (never been written up before in my life) for too much work missed. Like I could help that I was hacking up a lung for almost 2 weeks......BITCHES!!!! I am seriously contemplating looking for another job. Those of us who work our asses off, never get any recognition and the ones who fuck off all day, are the ones treated like queens. I HATE WORKING WITH ALL FEMALES!!!!! The inmates don't bother me. It's the powers the be and the idiots I work with. Anyhoo.........much love to all!!!!! | | |
| Ok, this makes the third time I have tried to do this entry *kicks the dial up*
Haley had her appt. She has to have tubes in her ears May 30 cuz she failed her hearing test again. Cleft babies are really prone to fluid in the ears. she weighed 8-15, which is her highest weight since birth. She will have her cleft surgery between 10 and 12 months, but must be off the bottle by 8 months....that, in and of itself, should be interesting.
Today is another sad day for my family. My baby brother, Adam, lost his best friend of forever Friday morning. Today is the funeral. Rest in peace, Casey Dean Caldwell. You will be sorely missed and always loved. Your spirit will live on in the kindness of others, for you never met anyone you wouldnt help in any way you could. WE LOVE YA BROTHER!!!!!!! | | |
| Tomorrow is Haleys appt at Childrens for her evaluation of her cleft palate. She also has to have another hearing test as she failed the 2 she was given after she was born. She spent the night at childrens Thursday night. They thought she had meningitis, but the spinal tap came back negative. Thank goodness. I can't wait to see what the docs say tomorrow about her little mouth. She sure has had her share of hardships in 6 weeks of life.
Found out today that a friend of mine comitted suicide over the weekend. 30 years old with the most gorgeous blue eyes you have ever seen. Rumor has it that his wife left him and that pushed him over the edge. Hung himself in the front yard. I think that his 2 deployments to Iraq in the last couple years had a lot to do with it as well. Rest in peace Keven and may you walk with God and find the peace that you couldn't here on Earth. | | |
| What a weekend!!! I am so freaking tired!!! Had an inmate go off on Friday....we were all mother fucking funky tailed bitches in the infirmary. Had a visitor have a heart attack during visitation on Saturday. Thank goodness I got him the hell outta there. He had to be shocked 15 times when he got to the hospital cuz his heart was only fluttering and not beating. His son came down and thanked me yesterday for taking care of him and gave me an update. Said his dad had to have surgery Saturday night at 930 and was on a vent but is holding his own. Which I was glad to hear. I told him he didn't have to thank me, that I was just doing what I was supposed to do. And then yesterday I had an inmate who was trying to have a stroke. It was a hellacious weekend. Night shift had to deal with a few emergencies too. I told my boss you could tell I was back at work on the weeknds cuz shit got CRAZYYYYYY!!! And if it's gonna happen....it happens while I am working by myself. NEVER FAILS!!! So, yeah, I am beat!!! | | |
| YAY!!!! Haley got to come home yesterday!!!! She is back up to 7-11, her birth weight. She goes back to the doctor next week to make sure she is maintaining her weight. Thank you all for all your prayers and support during these difficult months, with my dad and my grand-daughter. You are all awesome!!! <3 | | |
